Regular Events

Intersex Community Meeting – once a year (last time in Recklinghausen)

North Rhine-Westphalia’s Intersex Community Meeting is a weekend event that takes place once year, usually in Sommer or Autumn. These get-togethers are open for all intersex people and any person with a variant of sex development. Depending on the year and the activities, we also welcome parents and relatives.

Past meetings have included workshops, leisure activities and spaces to exchange ideas & experiences, as well as to connect and to network. If you want to get more information, feel free to send us an email. The meetings are held in German language. If necessary, we can provide an interpreter.

Information

Attendance, including food and lodging, is free of charge for all participants. For those living in North Rhine-Westphalia, travel expenses can be reimbursed. The premises will be accessible for wheelchair users. We kindly ask all participants to register, so we can organize the venue, catering, etc. The specific venue will be communicated after the registration.

Inter*stellar Kaffeeklatsch (online) – last time: on June 16th 2023, from 6 to 7.30 p.m.

OII Germany organizes this monthly, online community meeting. As they say: “Do you want to exchange ideas with other intersex people who have had similar experiences? Or do you just want to get to know other intersex folks? Then come to the next inter*stellar Kaffeeklatsch“.

These meetings are open for all intersex people, as well as for those who are wondering if they are intersex. You don’t need to be a member of OII Germany to participate.

Inter*Treff (online, in German) – last meeting on June 27th 2023 from 6 to 7.30 p.m.

This monthly get-together gives you the chance to get to know other intersex people and exchange ideas & experiences with them. The meetings are open for all intersex people, as well as for those who are wondering if they could be intersex.
